class descriptions


Classic - Postures are performed with an emphasis on alignment and awareness, with longer holds and variations. Modifications are offered to suit all levels.

Flow -
A moving practice in which postures are linked with breath. This class can be physically challenging, with some advanced poses and a faster pace.  Prior yoga experience is recommended.

Flow + Weights -
Light hand weights are added to yoga postures to build strength, improve balance and add a little challenge to your yoga practice.  Weights available to borrow at the studio. Prior yoga experience is recommended.

Yin –
Quiet and meditative practice, with long holds of floor postures designed to work into the deep connective tissue of the joints. Explore the balance between stillness and sensation. All levels.

Restorative -
Floor postures, supported by props (blankets, bolsters and blocks), are held for time to gently open the body and promote deep relaxation.  All levels.

Yoga Nidra -
Guided relaxation, designed to release stress from all levels of body and mind.  All levels.

Chair yoga -
Yoga postures performed seated or using a chair for support. Improves balance, flexibility and body awareness. Entire practice can be performed seated as needed. All Levels.

Chair + weights -
Yoga postures performed seated or using a chair for support. Improves balance, flexibility and body awareness. Light hand weight exercises are added to improve strength and boost metabolism. Weights available to borrow at the studio. All levels.
